Christmas Home Tour 2019

Welcome to our home for the holidays!

This year, I went with a rustic, natural theme with lots of neutrals, greens and pops of red in my downstairs main living area. Upstairs, I went a bit more colorful and I really love how it all turned out. Hope you enjoy!

The shiplap piece with the attached mason jar vases in my entry is from Tjmaxx and I love being able to change out the greenery or florals depending on the season. This greenery is a Target Dollar Spot find.

My light up birch tree is also a Tjmaxx find from years ago and still one of my favorite pieces. They bring it back year after year so be sure to check there first as these are so pricey elsewhere! I added a mercury glass tree (also from Tjmaxx – getting repetitive yet?) to my entry table and filled a very old Hobby Lobby wire basket with pinecones for a simple winter touch. My lamp can be purchased here.

My entry rug is still available here. I hid the base of my birch tree with a Magnolia Home basket and a throw blanket from Tjmaxx.

For our main tree this year, I went with a woodland, neutral theme. Depending on the year, I will sometimes add pops of color to it but I wanted to stay neutral this year in the living room and I’m loving it. This flocked tree honestly doesn’t need much added as it is absolutely stunning on it’s own so I wanted a simplified look. I also wanted to keep the bottom mostly empty of ornaments (I have a 16 month old) and that’s not noticable when you have neutral ornaments- mom hack!!

This rug ties any look together for any season. It’s definitely one of my favorite purchases I’ve made for our home and I highly recommend it to anyone in the market.

On the mantle, I continued the rustic, woodland look with an Arhaus garland, some light up trees, a cute little Tjmaxx gnome and our stockings from Restoration Hardware.

*Nearly identical stockings here

*The tiny stocking is for our Yorkie and is from At Home.

I’m still so pleased with our cabinets and the symmetry they add to the room. A couple of matching lamps from Home Goods, a candle and this rustic little house add warmth to the space.

A couple of my favorite new ornaments are this nutcracker one and this snowy bird that I mentioned in my World Market blog post. My other ornaments are from places like Hobby Lobby, At Home and Pier 1.

I was so happy to see my vision for the dining room come together exactly as I had wanted.

The rug is this one and our table and the table runner are from At Home. These are our new chairs which I adore. The rest of the table design was found at Home Goods!

I had to give a peak at my Rae Dunn Christmas favorites which are displayed in the dining room on the hutch built by my dad. I’ve had fun collecting these over the past couple months.

Hot cocoa anyone? Such a fun space to enjoy. Our Nespresso is my husband’s new toy and we have been thoroughly enjoying it this season. The table itself is from Home Goods but this one is quite similar. My birch logs are from Ballard Designs but can also be found at Target. The beautiful deer print is available here and is probably my favorite addition to this area. This is a good option for a chunky, sweater pillow like the one I found at Home Goods.

Arhaus is where this unique Nespresso pod holder came from. I loved adding yet another woodsy touch to this area. The marshmallow mug is currently at Hobby Lobby and the hanging shelf is from Home Goods. I added some jars with marshmallows and cinnamon sticks along with a Hobby Lobby hot cocoa sign and this marble board.

My mug rack has my heart this season and displays some of my Rae Dunn mug collection. I added a Home Goods garland to it (same one from my dining table) and the sign above is from Wal-Mart this year!

Adding a new soap is a perfect but simple way to feel festive. This matching bottlebrush tree and a yummy snickerdoodle candle compliment it well.

My favorite display in the kitchen revolves around this tree. I displayed it on this wooden, raw edge board that adds to the rustic feel. My marble board in the background ties in the marble and wood cake stand (similar option) well.

In our half bath, I simply added a festive towel in a beautiful red to pop against the navy walls. I love the richness in here.

Even the laundry room got a little festive. A simple strand of lights from Wal-Mart made the biggest difference in here.

In the upstairs guest bathroom, I went for an icy and vintage vibe. I added this gorgeous light up tree from Hobby Lobby, a Bath & Body Works wallflower and a vintage glass ornament to get my look in here.

The hallway tree and massive gingerbread house are both from At Home and are a couple of my favorite Christmas pieces.

I like to keep our bedroom very simple, light and calming. A couple of King of Christmas trees on our dresser ended up being just the look I was going for.

The distressed mirror is from Kirkland’s.

Charlotte’s room always makes me so happy this time of year. Her glam, nutcracker tree adds so much warmth here.

*Here are a few more nursery details if you’re interested

Wool Rug, Glider, Dresser, Chandelier, Floor Lamp

I will have a front porch and outdoor lights post up soon. I’ll also be sharing an extra bedroom I’m in the process of transforming into a sitting room very soon–lots of Christmas in there as well and I LOVE the color palette I’ve went with!

Thank you so much for stopping by my home for the holidays.

Merry Christmas!
