You all know I love home decor but I don’t always talk about the practical items in my home that are staples and never leave no matter what season it is.
1. CLEANING
Aside from decorating, I enjoy cleaning my house immensely. I love the after product of course but I enjoy the process as well.
This (the cheapest I’ve found it) is one of my newer products but it’s already my favorite vacuum I’ve ever had and I can’t recommend it enough. The battery is excellent, it’s super lightweight, works on any floor and is pretty quiet. I also love that the vacuum is turned on just by pushing the trigger. The best part of it is the fact that when you use it, it’s like you’ve never vacuumed before with how much it picks up. Cleaning lovers will also appreciate the extreme vacuum lines it leaves. 😉
My other cleaning must is definitely Mrs. Meyers multi-surface spray. I use it on everything and go through bottles like water. They have great scents but the seasonal ones are my favorites. I typically buy these products at Grove and this link will get you 5 free products if you’re a new customer and spend $20!
2. COOKING & BAKING
I’m not a super experienced or great cook but I do like to bake and this classic mixer changed the game for me. Of course it can be used to cook as well but I had no idea what I was missing until I finally invested in it. I guess there’s a reason for it’s popularity!
We have this knife set and are so pleased with it. It’s not super expensive for knives but is great quality and they look clean and modern sitting out on the counter.
While extreme coffee lovers may have moved on to more fancy options, I’m still a fan of the Keurig. We have this one and couldn’t recommend it enough. We don’t drink coffee so for us, it’s used for tea, hot cocoa and cider. My husband uses it at least 3 times per day and has for 3 years and it’s still in perfect condition. Again, I love the clean, modern look that this particular option has as well.
3. STORAGE & ORGANIZATION.
So, I have a bin/basket for EVERYTHING in our home. Organizing is totally my therapy. TJMaxx/Marshalls/Home Goods are the best places to find gorgeous baskets with an inexpensive price tag. As for plastic bins, the Dollar Tree has great options! They have every color including white and are perfect sizes for bathroom vanities. I also love Target for jars like this one. I’ve bought several of these for my pantry.
My Three Tiered Bar Cart is also an organization favorite. While there’s plenty of space for decor, I also store our Keurig on it and other hot cocoa making items.
This storage bench has saved our living room from toys. Because we live in a 2 story home, we have to have toys on both floors and this has worked out so well. Practical AND decorative.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope your new year is off to a wonderful start.
