I update on Charlotte pretty frequently on Instagram but not always on how mama is doing with postpartum life. If you haven’t seen my postpartum essentials list for the earlier weeks, be sure to check that out too.
Four months later, I feel pretty good and I’m settling into my new normal. I guess I thought everything would be pretty similar to how it was prior to pregnancy and that’s just not the case. My skin is still a little stretched but you know what? That’s okay! Because my baby is healthy and thriving and that’s truly my only concern. I definitely have gotten my energy back that I had prior to pregnancy and that makes me SO happy. Charlotte and I have our routine down and we make a great team these days while daddy is at work. She’s my laundry helper, cleaning helper, shopping buddy and general sidekick/best friend.
Extra skin, stretch marks, constipation, mood swings, fatigue, hair falling out in clumps–you might feel/see them all. Just know that you’re never alone with whatever symptoms you feel or see. But as you look down at your sweet little baby, you will know that it’s all so worth it. Being a mom is the best job in the world and my greatest blessing.
Being a mom is the best job in the world. From the time they are born to when they become adults, it is the most awarding job in the world.
