16 Week Bumpdate

I’m almost to the 16 week mark and I was thinking about how much has changed since my original pregnancy update last month!

First of all, let’s hear it for the belly band that allows my pants to stay up when they can’t be zipped or buttoned any longer!

Secondly, my energy level has been SO much better. I’m not feeling exactly like myself just yet but considering where I’m coming from, I’ll take it. If you remember my last post, going to work and keeping my home in order were all I could do. Pretty sure we didn’t go out of the house other than work for at least 8 weeks. I no longer am finding myself falling asleep at 7:30 pm so that’s a great sign! πŸ˜‚

My many food aversions have also gone away for the most part. The only one that has continued is the salted caramel ice cream that I had been obsessed with for years–I can barely even type that out. 😷

My current symptom list (other than a very quickly growing belly) isn’t too long. I’m having some light-headed moments along with back pain and feel hungrier by the day. I crave burgers, cheese and salty foods but most anything will do now. I’m also noticing some swollen gums but that has eased recently. I have definitely noticed my hair and nails growing faster–still waiting on that glow though. πŸ™„

All in all, I’m definitely enjoying the journey and time and so thankful for a healthy pregnancy so far. We can’t believe how fast everything is already moving! We’re now gearing up to find out what we’re having on the 26th and couldn’t be more excited for that. πŸ’™πŸ’• We have also booked our babymoon at the end of April! Every year, we visit South Carolina and Georgia for our anniversary in May since we got married on Hilton Head Island. This year, the trip got pushed up a bit for baby but I have a feeling that it’ll be the best one yet.
