Have you heard that the Nordstrom Sale started for cardholders today?! 🙃 Just kidding, I’m SURE you have. Everyone gets so excited for the sale and if you’re not familiar with it, you might wonder why.
Basically, Nordstrom hosts a huge sale called the Anniversary Sale every July. However, it’s not a typical sale. It actually consists of brand new items in all departments- women’s, men’s, kid’s, home and beauty- that have just launched for fall and winter and will be marked back up to original prices after the sale ends in August. This is what makes this particular sale so exciting. As I said, the sale started for cardholders today (both credit card holders AND debit card holders!) I got a Nordstrom debit card JUST to shop this sale early last year and the money is pulled directly from my own bank account so no credit card necessary if you don’t like them! You also get rewards depending on how much you spend so really, you can’t go wrong with registering for one.
I thought I’d share my fave items from the sale and my strategy for shopping it. Ultimately, I use the sale to find the best fashion basics every year. One reason I shop this way is because it makes the sale a little less daunting as there are literally thousands of pages of sale items! I simply search for the type of item I am looking for and review my options. This also helps to stay in budget and only buy the items you really need to build a wardrobe for the season.
Interestingly, many of my fave pieces from last year’s sale returned this year (some with slight alterations, some exact) and this is because these pieces are truly classics. These are the items I look for during this sale and the ones I live in during the cooler seasons.
First of all, can we all be thankful that blush tones and velvet are here to stay? Secondly, I need alll these pieces in my life for fall.
1. Bell Sleeve Top 2. Blush Mules 3. Velvet Crossbody Bag 4. Lattice Back Sweater
I live for sweaters and neutrals in the fall–can you tell? I like to draw my fashion inspo from nature ultimately. Creamy neutrals like these have me craving cool weather and Starbucks.
1. Circle Cardigan 2. Ribbed Open Knit Cardigan 3. Pocket Tee (I picked this up in white last year and wore it all of the time!)
*Also love this for a longer cardigan option*
1. Jeans / Olive Moto Jacket / Boots
I own the riding boots and wore them constantly last year. I’m SO thrilled for you all that they returned and are part of the sale again.
1. Vince Camuto Booties (both colors) 2. Cutout Neck Pullover 3. Vneck Sweater (UNDER $25)
As I mentioned, every department is discounted! So of course, I had to include my home faves as well.
1. Bliss Throw 2. Striped Shower Curtain 3. Marble Board 4. Reed Diffuser 5. Throw Pillow
1. Cable Knit Throw 2. Wall Hanging 3. Flamingo Throw Pillow
I hope you found some items you like and enjoy shopping the sale! Let me know what pieces you decide on! 💕
